KUDOS to the participants for giving such MARVEL-OUS answers; ASHITA, AMAAN, PALLAVI, AND REHAAN, you guys have shared some crazy good analyses.
Watch Ashita explain her points here
"Gravity is the most fundamental force in the universe. I control it all!"
Franklin Hall was a normal human until empowered by an explosion that intermingled his molecules with sub-nuclear graviton particles generated by a nearby particle generator, which gave him the ability to manipulate gravitons (the subatomic particles that carry the force of gravitational attraction) and anti-gravitons (similar particles but with opposite force and spin of gravitons). Graviton can exert his gravitational control over a maximum distance of 2.36 miles from his body. Thus, the maximum volume of matter he could influence at once is 55.0585 cubic miles. By decreasing the pull of gravity beneath him, he can fly at any speed or height at which he can still breathe. However, by using his force field generation he can also breathe in space. He can also cause an inanimate object to radiate enough gravitons to give it its own gravitational field, able to attract nearby matter and energy. By rapidly projecting gravitons in a cohesive beam, he can generate a force blast with a maximum concussive force equivalent to the primary shock wave of an explosion of 20,000 pounds of TNT. If concentrated enough Graviton can exert this power to level a whole city. He can also create a gravitational force field around him capable of protecting him from any concussive force up to and including a small nuclear weapon.
"Chemistry is my secret weapon, Spider-Man. It's always been about chemistry."
The Green Goblin's alter ego, Norman Osborn, gains his superhuman abilities from a serum known as the Goblin Serum or Goblin Formula. This concoction is created by Norman Osborn himself, a brilliant chemist and inventor. The exact composition of the Goblin Serum is not always fully disclosed in the comics, but it typically involves a mix of experimental chemicals and performance-enhancing substances. The serum grants Norman enhanced strength, speed, and intelligence, but it also drives him to insanity, creating the iconic Green Goblin persona. The Green Goblin is known for his iconic flying glider, which he uses for transportation and aerial combat. The glider's propulsion system likely involves some form of chemical-based jet propulsion, using fuels like hydrogen peroxide or other reactive chemicals to generate thrust and lift. The Green Goblin is infamous for his "Pumpkin Bombs," spherical grenades shaped like pumpkins. These deadly weapons are likely filled with chemical explosives, such as nitroglycerin or other volatile compounds, and are designed to cause significant damage upon detonation. Throughout his villainous endeavors, the Green Goblin is known to utilize a wide array of chemical-based weaponry and gadgets. These may include chemical gases, toxic substances, and acids designed to incapacitate or harm his adversaries
Doctor Strange's Strange Mathematics
Doctor Strange's magical abilities involve bending and warping space and reality. Non-Euclidean geometry explores geometries that deviate from classical Euclidean geometry, allowing for the study of curved spaces and spatial distortions similar to what Doctor Strange manipulates in his mystical adventures. Doctor Strange, eventually, gains the ability to control time, which involves slowing it down, reversing it, or creating time loops. Calculus, a branch of mathematics, deals with rates of change and helps describe how quantities evolve over time. Time manipulation, in a sense, aligns with the mathematical concepts of integration and differentiation in calculus. While battling Strange, Peter recognized that the formation around Strange was an Archimedes spiral, which spins outwards from the center at a constant linear and angular velocity. Using this and his knowledge of geometry, he was able to figure out a way of using a bunch of cords across the spiral with his web that would eventually twist around Strange and trap him. Doctor Strange creates portals that connect distant places, allowing instant travel. These portals can be thought of as connections between different topological spaces, which study properties preserved under continuous deformations, without any tearing or gluing.
"Mutation: it is the key to our evolution." - Professor Charles Xavier
X-Men are individuals who possess genetic mutations that grant them unique powers. These mutations can result from changes in DNA sequences, leading to genetic variation and the expression of different traits. The X-Men's existence reflects the concept of evolution and natural selection. Mutants represent a population with advantageous traits (superpowers), which can increase their survival. Over time, this can lead to a higher frequency of mutant alleles in the population, much like natural selection in biological evolution. Mutants inherit their powers through the X-Gene, a fictional gene responsible for mutant abilities. This concept relates to real-life genetics, where certain traits are inherited from parents to offspring through specific genes. Some mutants in the X-Men comics are referred to as "Homo Superior," an advanced subspecies of humans with superpowers. Characters like Wolverine possess remarkable regenerative abilities, allowing them to heal rapidly from injuries. Biological processes like wound healing and tissue regeneration share similarities with Wolverine's extraordinary healing factor. X-Men characters like Professor X and Jean Grey exhibit telepathic powers, allowing them to read minds and communicate through thoughts. This phenomenon is reminiscent of the neural communication that occurs in the brain through neurotransmitters and synaptic connections. Certain mutants, such as Mystique, have the power of metamorphosis, enabling them to change their appearance. In biology, metamorphosis refers to the transformation of an organism's body structure during its life cycle, as seen in insects like butterflies.
