Connecting cars with mathematics:
Mathematics plays a crucial role in various aspects of driving a car. It is used to calculate speed based on the time taken to cover a certain distance. Speed is a fundamental concept in driving and is often crucial for safety and traffic regulations. Geometry is used to improve the aerodynamics of a vehicle. The aerodynamics effects stability of the car at high speeds, safety, and wind noise that filters into the cabin. Geometry also is involved in engine designs.
Connecting cars with physics:
Say that you're in your car, speeding up with constant acceleration. To do this, your car has to exert a force against the road; otherwise, the car wouldn't be accelerating. And the road has to exert the same force on your car. Horsepower is the common unit of power. Power is the rate at which work is done. Because the power of the car is described in horsepower, it must be converted to watts in order to get the international unit. One horsepower is equivalent to 746 watts.
Connecting cars with chemistry:
Chemistry is used all over the cars we drive today, from the exterior paint, bumpers and headlights to interior seats, dashboard components, seatbelts and airbags that help protect passengers. Kinetic energy inside the engine is transformed from chemical energy to mechanical energy.
Connecting cars with biology:
The combustion of fuel in an automobile engine produces gas at high pressure. That pressurized gas is expanded in a chamber to drive a piston which in turn rotates the crank. Thus automobile engines work on the principle of thermal expansion of gas. This also releases many poisonous and toxic gases which pollute the environment. Therefore, the we should actively try to decrease the use of fuels like, diesel and petrol also, in turn we should use fuels like, CNG and LPG.
